I bought this in early 2002 in preparation for my second paintball session in as many years. In the first session I learned from being shot
in the upper inner thigh -- a couple inches from a region of my body I never want anything to wham into at 170 miles an hour -- that I needed more
protection.
Paintball is all kinds of fun, and I recommend it to anyone who likes to get scared and excited, to get that adrenaline pumping, and to get
agggrressive. In the midst of battle you're really alert.
You have to think and react fast, and if you don't you fail.
And that can hurt.
Paintball has a way of squeezing certain emotions, certain characteristics, to the fore. Are you fearless, canny, bold, reckless,
panic-prone? Are you a leader, a team player, a lone wolf?
If a running gun battle is anything like this, I have even more respect for soldiers and cops who engage in the real thing. Paintball is more
interesting than I thought before I played it a couple times.
