
This is part of the back of a Guy's Potato Chips bag I photographed back in
2017.
The first thing you should notice is the mistake in number that's pretty
well understood by third-graders. In the first sentence the number of
subjects is plural yet the verb is singular. No big deal, though,
because, unfortunately, this sort of mistake is all too common, even among
people who graduated from third grade.
No, what's more interesting is the unequivocal statement, which no one at
Guy's's seems to have caught, is that the potato chips in this bag are "just
as crispy and fresh" as they were "when Guy Caldwell was making them
himself," which we learn elsewhere was 1938. Enjoy.
