As of today's writing, October 1, 2019, I have never heard any of the
talking heads on TV nor have I read in newspapers or magazines or on the
Internet that the current president of the United States is a sadist.
Because I am convinced Donald Trump suffers from a severe form of
Narcissistic Personality Disorder, it's not surprising that he lacks
empathy, because that is a characteristic of what is called NPD. But
outright sadism is not a symptom of NPD. Sadism is its own standalone
mental condition and, needless to say, it is extremely bad. Sadism is
indisputably evil. In fact, it is the very definition of evil.
I don't understand why no one else, as far as I know, has made the same
observation. Maybe it's because saying the American president is a
sadist is so unthinkable. Maybe it's because no one believes there's
adequate proof to make such an extreme statement, but I do. Let me
list four examples, in chronological order of their revelation, that, I
think, prove Donald John Trump is a sadist.
But first let me compare a mere, if that's the right word, lack of empathy
to outright sadism. If you suffer from a lack of empathy then, first,
I feel sorry for you, but, second, you are incapable of putting yourself in
the shoes of someone who is suffering. That's bad in any person, of
course, but it's just, plain horrible in a U.S. president.
But as bad as a lack of empathy is, sadism is worse. Sadists take
pleasure in the suffering of others and wish to cause more. The
word "unthinkable" doesn't seem strong enough.
Here are five examples that prove Trump is a sadist. I have no doubt
there are more, but any one of these alone is sufficient proof, because
there is no better explanation.
• On approximately November 24, 2015, while he was still a candidate for the presidency, Trump
mocked the disability of a reporter. Trump actually made fun of a person's
physical disability, something a well-reared five-year-old knows is

HERE (which also mentions one of Trump's 12,000 lies so far,
although to be fair that number of 12,000 is only since Trump was
There is no better explanation for such despicable behavior than that Trump
is a sadist. Perhaps worse, he clearly believed that at least some of
the people in attendance at that campaign event, where he knew cameras and microphones were pointed
at him, would applaud his mocking.
If I hadn't already (I had) thought Donald Trump was unsuited to be
president of anything, this incident confirmed that conclusion.
• For a period starting in April of 2018, Trump implemented a policy
at the border between Mexico and the U.S. that caused children to be
separated from their parents. A five-year-old relies entirely on her
parents, and she takes needed emotional sustenance from them. Separating a
child from her parents is unspeakably cruel, not only to those parents but
of course to that child. The result of such separation can do
permanent damage to that child, including a potentially serious condition
called Reactive Attachment Disorder, which I suspect Trump himself has; one
of the symptoms of what's called RAD is, you guessed it, a lack of empathy.
When Rachel Maddow, who in my opinion is one of the best explainers of the
news of the day and who rarely gets rattled, essayed to describe this cruel
policy of Trump's, she actually broke down and couldn't finish.

HERE, that further proves my point that Trump, not
to mention some of his associates, is a sadist.
As I said before and will say twice more, that Trump is a sadist is the best
explanation for such a policy. Trump knew children would be separated
from their parents because of his policy, which normal people would
immediately reject as obviously unjustifiable, because he wanted to
cause that pain.
• In August of 2019 Trump's administration decided, with Trump's approval
if he didn't initiate it, to prevent non-U.S. citizens with certain medical
conditions from staying in the U.S. Understand that these people are
here in the U.S. for the purpose of receiving treatment that is keeping them
alive, treatment that is unavailable in their home countries. Said
another way, and a way that True Trump Believers will somehow manage to disagree with, Trump
wanted to commit murder, which is pretty darn close to the ultimate in
sadism. See video clip
As I have said, Trump's sadism is the best explanation for such a policy.
• At one point in March of 2019, and maybe before and maybe still, Trump
is said to have wanted people who were trying to cross the border into the United States to
be shot in the legs "to slow them down." People, not rabid coyotes or
domesticated wild bear, but real, living people.
Also, he wanted, and maybe still does, to build trenches around his wall and
stock those trenches with alligators or snakes. Also, he wanted, and
maybe still does, to electrify the top of his wall so as to electrocute
people climbing it. Also, he wanted and maybe still does, to top his
wall with spikes to "pierce human flesh." See a video clip
The only realistic explanation for such unimaginable cruelty, which Trump
wants to cause, is sadism.
• June 26, 2020: Another example
Trump's sadism comes from a CNN story dated today and headed
"Measures to protect Trump from coronavirus scale up even as he seeks to
" . . . Trump has voiced escalating concern about how it would appear if
he contracted coronavirus and has insisted on steps to protect himself, even
as he refuses to wear a mask in public and agitates for large campaign
rallies where the virus could spread."
What kind of a president of the
United States "refuses to wear a mask in public" and knowingly puts
thousands of people at significantly greater of dying, and admits he's in
favor of less testing, for the sole purpose of appearing to look
good? The only answer, as I see it, is that Trump is a sadist.
I repeat, who else thinks Trump, the president of the United States, is
filled with sadism?
