START START ENGINE
   
AFTER START CHECKS

1000 RPM
(press F3 or F2 as necessary)
Oil Pressure
In the green within 30 seconds
Fuel Pump
OFF - Check pressure remains in green
Alternator
ON - Check for charge

CHECK - 2-5

ATIS Tune aerodrome ATIS, obtain QNH, set Altimeter

  • Artificial horizon remains erect
Turning Right

  • Turn Coordinator turning right and skidding left

Switch to: Maximum RPM drop 175 RPM

Maximum differential between Magnetos 50 RPM
Gauges
Check all Normal
Carb Heat
ON - Check for slight drop in RPM
Idle

 
Reduce power to idle, check RPM approx 750 RPM. Once checked, reset at 1000 RPM

Check both are grounding
Shut-down

Simultaneously close throttle and mixture to idle cut off
Keys Remove from starter and place on instrument panel
